Gluten Free Air Fryer Nacho Recipe

Nachos are hands down my single favorite food group. They’re the most versatile food and can be made with any ingredients you want. Back in high school nachos were a staple of my diet, so it’s safe to say I have experimented with various iterations and would genuinely consider myself an expert in the craft of making nachos.

To name a few types of nachos I have experimented with, I have made Greek Nachos with feta cheese and peta chips, breakfast nachos, triple decker BBQ nachos with three different meats, and more.

For today I’m going to give you a simple gluten free air fryer nacho recipe that’s sure to knock the socks off anyone who makes them.

You can use whatever variation of ingredients you want for this recipe and can add things as well. The only thing I suggest is making sure you actually purchase gluten free tortilla chips. You have to read the label not all of them are actually gluten free.

Ingredients

  • 5 oz 5 Ground Bison

  • 1 3/4 oz 1 3/4 Pepper Jack Cheese

  • 1 3/4 oz 1 3/4 Vermont Cabot Sharp Cheddar Cheese

  • 1 oz 1 Red Onion

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Black Beans

  • 3 tbsp 3 Queso

  • Salsa

  • Tortilla Chips

Directions

  • Assemble your corn chips on a baking sheet, covering as much surface area as you want. The number of chips used is not an exact science you should change the quantity based on how many people you’re trying to feed.
  • Cover all of your chips with Vermont Cabot sharp cheddar, pepper jack cheese, and queso. Add diced red onions, black beans, and ground bison meat. Place baking sheet in the air fryer at 350 and cook until cheese fully melted.
  • Once the nachos are ready, remove the cooking tray and garnish nachos with salsa, avocado, and anything else you would like.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • I personally prefer restaurant style tortilla chips, however you can go as low or high quality as you want and it will still taste good.
  • You can use whatever type of cheese you want in your recipe, however I find that shredding your own cheese tastes way better and melts better than pre-shredded cheese. It’s also healthier for you not to purchase shredded cheese but that’s a conversation for a different blog.
  • I personally don’t put in the effort to make guacamole for myself but guac goes really well with nachos.
  • You can also make this recipe in a microwave, toaster oven, or oven, however, I find that my air fryer makes the best nachos in the least amount of time.
