Gluten Free Pulled Pork Sandwich – Air Fryer Recipe

You probably have picked up on the fact that I absolutely love BBQ food. One of my favorite things to make at home are gluten free pulled pork sandwiches. This is a recipe I perfected back before I knew I had a gluten intolerance and have slightly modified to taste good with gluten free bread.

Before we get started, you’re going to want to follow my instant pot pulled pork recipe to create some pulled pork for your sandwich. If you’re lucky enough to own a home and have you’re own smoker, I’d suggest smoking it. As good as my instant pot recipe is, nothing beats a good smoked pulled pork.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz 6 Pulled Pork

  • 1 Whole 1 Pickle

  • 1 oz 1 Red Onion

  • 1 tsp 1 Garlic

  • Butter

  • 1/3 1/3 Gluten Free Baguette

  • Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard

  • 1 oz 1 Cheddar Cheese

  • Banana Peppers

Directions

  • Defrost your Gluten Free baguette. You can either do this in the microwave or take it out the night before. You want to the bread to have structural integrity so don’t over microwave. Cut Baguette into 3rds.
  • Spread butter and garlic on both sides of the baguette. Slice cheese thinly and place on top of both sides of the gluten free bread. Place in your air fryer on 350 for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted and the bread is adequately toasted.
  • Chop onions and pickles on a cutting board.
  • Take your bread out of the air fryer and assemble your sandwich. Spread the Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard on top of the cheese on both sides of the bread. Add your pulled pork to one side of the bread and top with red onions, pickles, and banana peppers.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • I personally use Against the Grain because I think they have the best tasting gluten free baguette. If you have a different preference let me know in the comments.
  • You can also swap a gluten the free baguette with a gluten free Ciabatta Roll. Both work great for a pulled pork sandwich.
  • My personal preference is Vermont Cabot Sharp Cheddar Cheese, however any cheese with a sharp flavor will taste great on the sandwich.
